Trisha, Shalini, Jo at Erum Ali Bridal Lounge Special Stills

For the last 11 years, Erum Ali, wife of actor Abbas, has been creating designs and fusing the sensibilities of the North and the South which has gradually brought her to doing what she does best: dressing up brides.

This designer is the talent behind the exquisite, jewel-encrusted costumes that Reema Sen will be seen wearing in Aayirathil Oruvan and the enchanting red carpet gowns created for some of the biggest film awards and premieres plus costumes for husband Abbas for more than 50 films in Tamil and Telugu.

Top Chennai designer Erum Ali launched EA - the first Bridal Lounge in the city - at her store situated in upmarket Khader Nawaz Khan Road. Rimple and Harpreet Narula from Delhi designed the bridal collection.

Sangeeta and Sonia Agarwal, good friends of Erum and her actor husband Abbas, modelled the exquisite bridal wear and posed for photographers.

Shalini and Jyothika - wives of the two superstars Ajit and Suriya - were at the event. Also present were Trisha with her friends Priya Manikandan and Sydney SS, Gowthami with daughter, designers Chaitanya Rao and Tina Vincent, actor Karthi and top socialites of Chennai.

More celebrities turned up for the party that followed. Director Selvaraghavan, actor Vishal, Vijay Yesudas, Aishwarya Dhanush, Srikanth and wife Vandana were among those spotted.

Abbas and Erum played the perfect hosts and the glittering event went on till the wee hours of Monday morning.
