Rocket Belt Worn On The Back To Fly
08th Mar' 2010,

Martin Aircraft Company has developed the world's first "rocket pack", which went into series production this year, after which anyone can buy this device. It uses a gasoline (premium) engine with two ducted fans to provide lift and can fly up to 60 miles per hour, an altitude of 8,000 feet, and fly for about 30 minutes on a full fuel tank.
The set includes a parachute and a protective mechanism, holding the pilot from being hit. Interestingly, backpack meets all the necessary European standards and requirements. In addition to this, the device does not need a pilot's license. Martin Aircraft plans to deliver the first jetpacks to ten customers in early 2010. It costs about $100,000.
